World's richest and sacred temple in South India...

Nested on the foothills of the Eastern Ghats, close to the capital of Tamil Nadu, the ancient city of Tirupati draws millions of devotees every year. The word Tirupati is a blend  of two terms 'tiru' and 'pathi' with 'tiru' being a Tamil word meaning 'respectable' and 'pathi' a Sanskrit word signifying 'husband'. Thus, the word Tirupati means 'respectable husband'.


    




The Tirumala Hills, on which the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple sits, are the world's second oldest rock mountains. , Tirupati boasts of a rich vibrant culture to watch out and a myriad of cuisines to relish.





Tirumala(as it is called in short because of its location on the tirumala hills) is an ancient holy shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, regarded as the holiest amongst 108 Tirupatis or Vaishnava Divya Desams. Considered to be a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture, the temple is believed to be conferred upon with miraculous powers of granting boons.


The temple is one of the biggest in india and lakhs of devotees visit every day , and Tirumala is the richest temple in the world. Lord Sri Venkateswara swamy beautifully shining with all his glory.
